Fayoum, Egypt - Feb 18, 2024: Harvesting Calendula officinalis flowers

Harvesting the flowers of calendula officinalis, also known as moonflowers, in Fayoum, Egypt. This flower is planted in August and harvested in February and March. After harvesting, it is placed under the sun for 15 days to dry and then purified of impurities in preparation for export.
