The "What is a Safe Space?" photography exhibition captures the true essence of safe spaces in the Arab world, as seen through the lenses of photographers from across the Middle East. Organized by The Middle Frame in collaboration with The SeifSpace Collective, the exhibition was hosted at Kamelizer Spaces during an exceptional evening of art, diverse perspectives, and moving stories about safety, connection, and a dialogue on the intersection of art and mental health.
With a special guest who showed up to support the event and gave a talk around mental health, Ambassador Nabila Makram added a powerful and personal dimension to the evening, emphasizing the importance of open conversations and community support.

In the presence of prominent figures and representatives from both the Greek and Egyptian governments, the Greek Community Club was inaugurated in the city of Dahab. It is the first club of its kind in South Sinai Governorate and the second in Egypt after the Greek Club in Cairo.

The club is built in a style that reflects Greek culture. It features a restaurant serving traditional Greek cuisine, accommodations for Greek staff working at the club, and an open-air theater for hosting entertainment events for visitors. The club also includes a service area with shops, bazaars, a kids' area, and a swimming pool.

On the sidelines of the inauguration, a performance was held by the “Florina Greek Band,” consisting of 15 female performers and 4 musicians, presenting artistic segments that showcased Greek heritage through traditional folklore.

This evening, Friday, May 2, 2025, Aswan Governorate witnessed the launch of the 9th edition of the Aswan International Women Film Festival, held under the theme "El Sett" — a tribute to the legendary singer Umm Kulthum, marking 50 years since her passing.
The festival will run from Friday, May 2 until Tuesday, May 6, bringing together a constellation of renowned Egyptian and Arab stars and artists on Isis Island in Aswan, at the southernmost tip of Egypt.
