The family of the late Ahmed Fathi Sorour, former Speaker of the Egyptian People's Assembly, received condolences after his burial at the family cemetery in Heliopolis. Many public and political figures, as well as fans of Dr. Sorour, offered their condolences to his family members. Dr. Ahmed Fathi Sorour passed away at the age of 92, as announced by his son Tariq Fathi Sorour on his Facebook page. Ahmed Fathi Sorour served as the Speaker of the People's Assembly from 1991 for 21 consecutive years.
