Douz, Tunisia - Dec 27, 2024: Tunisia inaugurates the International Festival of the Sahara in Douz.

The 56th edition of the International Festival of the Sahara in Douz began on Thursday, December 26, and will continue until December 29.

Held each winter, the Douz International Festival welcomes artists, poets, and writers, featuring a variety of artistic and cultural activities. It is Tunisia’s oldest cultural and tourism festival, first launched in 1910 under the name "Camel Festival."

This event is both an artistic celebration and a cultural gathering, honoring the traditions of the desert and the region's historical heritage.
