Tunisia inaugurates the International Festival of the Sahara in Douz.
The 56th edition of the International Festival of the Sahara in Douz, Tunisia, kicked off on Thursday, December 26, and will run until December 29.
Held every winter, the festival hosts artists, poets, and writers, offering a wide range of artistic and cultural activities. It is Tunisia’s oldest cultural and tourism festival, first launched in 1910 under the name "Camel Festival."
This event serves as both an artistic celebration and a cultural gathering, honoring the traditions of the desert and the region's historical heritage.
