The Dendera Temple complex is situated approximately 2.5 kilometers (1.6 miles) southeast of Dendera, Egypt. It is one of the most well-preserved temple complexes of ancient Egypt. The region was utilized as the sixth nome of Upper Egypt, located to the south of Abydos.
