Lake Qarun is considered the blue treasure of Fayoum Governorate. The lake covers an area of 600 square kilometers, and its shoreline extends along three centers in the governorate: Senuris, Ibshaway, and Youssef El-Siddiq. It is 50 kilometers long and 18 kilometers deep, representing significant importance to a large segment of Fayoum Governorate's fishermen, who rely on it as their primary source of livelihood.
