Celebrating the birth of the Knower of God Sheikh Muhammad Al-Ashi

Every year, the residents of Al-Ashi village in the city of Al-Zinia, Luxor, Egypt celebrate the birth of Sheikh Muhammad Al-Ashi who was known for his devotion to God. The celebrations start on the first day of the Islamic month of Shaban and continue for five days. The festivities are accompanied by the sound of drums, municipal flutes, and tahtib, creating a joyful atmosphere. People from neighboring villages and governorates also participate in the celebrations.
